Student Photograph & Video Consent Form

Photographs and video images of students in Arudra Dance Academy is routinely created for the purpose of sharing student achievement and celebrating educational programs with the entire community. Photographs are submitted to area newspapers, used in school publications and posted on our websites and social media pages. Videos of particular programs within our schools are submitted to news outlets that occasionally cover special events within our schools and community.

We are sending you this parental consent form to both inform you and request permission for your child’s photo/image/ video to be shared in the following ways. If you wish to rescind or amend this consent at any time, please contact Arudra Dance Academy.

Guideline *

Arudra Dance Academy Guidelines

All student’s absences must be reported by the parents before their class session. Planned time off must be notified one week prior and parents should contact the teacher and discuss the schedule after their time off.

Dress code for dance classes:
a. Salwar kameez with cotton dupatta is preferable. Leggings and top with any cotton dupatta are also acceptable.

b. Hair must be neatly tied into a ponytail or braided. Wearing bindis and earrings are highly recommended.

c. Shorts and sleeveless tops are not allowed.

Bring your homework books and water bottles to the class.

Weekly homework must be completed prior to the scheduled class.

Students are expected to practice at least 3 days a week. This will be reflected in their class performance and their learning curve.

There will be quarterly reviews starting from September, 2023. Current status of the student and               future plan for progress will be discussed in these reviews. Zoom meeting or in person meeting can be arranged as per parent’s request.

Students are not allowed to perform Bharathanatyam outside Arudra performances.

Students must confirm with Arudra before committing to performing non Bharathanatyam dances at other community programs to make sure there are no overlapping performances.

Arudra recognizes each student’s talent and capabilities and will provide opportunities accordingly.

Kindly pay the monthly fees by first week of each month. After the payment is made, please notify via text or WhatsApp. The fee structure will be updated according to the student’s batch and level of learning. Fees must be Interac transferred to arudradc@gmail.com.

  ** Important : Arudra will charge additional fees of $20 for each delayed payment. Please do not accumulate your fee payments ( for example making a payment for 3 months together ) Fees payments are due by 10th of each month. **                                          

11. The student is responsible to return all accessories and costumes provided by Arudra within a week after the performance. Please make sure it is returned in good condition:

a. Please label the costumes and accessories with the name of the student upon return. 

b. Please Do not cut the threads attached to the accessories.

c. Blouses must be handwashed inside out and other pieces of the costume must be air dried completely before return.

d. Handle the jewels with care and make sure they are intact upon return. In case of any damages, replacement costs will be brone by the student. Any damage or loss of costumes / jewellery will result in payment of additional fee of $100 which is payable in the following month.

12. Music shared with the students for practice purposes must not be used or shared outside the dance school.

Note: The guidelines can be revised by Arudra as and when required. All students will be notified accordingly.
